The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 4.6 quake in Indonesia near Sibolga, North Sumatra, only 12 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early evening on Friday, April 1st, 2022, at 6:54 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 125 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
