Small magnitude 3.0 quake hits 7 miles east of El Sentro, California, United States early morning

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.0 quake in the United States near El Sentro, Imperial County, California, only 7 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Friday, April 1st, 2022, at 1:44 am local time at a shallow depth of 7.5 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
