Magnitude 3.3 earthquake strikes near Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
3.3 quake 17 May 1:07 am (GMT -7)

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.3 quake in the United States near Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington, only 14 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022, at 1:07 am local time at a very shallow depth of 0.3 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.4. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 3.3.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Allen (pop. 180) located 4 miles from the epicenter.

In Everett (pop. 108,000, 28 miles away), and Bellevue (pop. 139,800, 51 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
