Small 3.4 quake hits near Marblemount, Skagit County, Washington, USA 3.4 quake 28 May 12:07 pm (GMT -7) An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred only 10 minutes ago 38 miles northeast of Marblemount, Washington, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported. The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 0.5 miles beneath the epicenter near Marblemount, Skagit County, Washington, USA, around noon on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 12:07 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 3.4 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.4. According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Marblemount (pop. 200, 38 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
