Just 8 minutes ago, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Bakersfield, Kern County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at 12:34 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 2.6 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.2 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.2.
