Small earthquake of magnitude 3.1 just reported 3 miles east of Beaumont, California, United States

Just 16 minutes ago, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Beaumont, Riverside County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at 9:08 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 4.8 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 3.1 earthquake as well. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake at magnitude 3.1, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 3.1.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Banning (pop. 30,900) located 3 miles from the epicenter, and Beaumont (pop. 43,800) 3 miles away.
