An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 occurred only 10 minutes ago 21 km northwest of Menton, France, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 29 km beneath the epicenter near Menton, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France, early morning on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at 6:07 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage.
