Small tremor of magnitude 3.3 just reported 22 km northwest of Antalya, Turkey3.3 quake 30 Nov 12:29 am (GMT +3) A very shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported after midnight near Antalya, Turkey. According to the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the quake hit on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, at 12:29 am local time at a very shallow depth of 5 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. A second report was later issued by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), which listed it as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the Kandilli Oservatory and Earthquake Research Institute in Istanbul (KOERI-RETMC) at magnitude 3.4, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 3.3. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Antalya (pop. 758,200) located 22 km from the epicenter, Muratpaşa (pop. 450,000) 27 km away, and Istanos (pop. 20,500) 32 km away. In Bucak (pop. 29,200, 43 km away), Belek (pop. 73,300, 50 km away), Serik (pop. 36,900, 51 km away), Kemer (pop. 17,300, 53 km away), and Tekirova (pop. 20,000, 63 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
