Magnitude 4.4 earthquake strikes near Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia 4.4 quake 1 Feb 2:51 pm (GMT -5) The citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake reported a magnitude 4.4 quake in Colombia near Bucaramanga, Santander, only 21 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, at 2:51 pm local time at an intermediate to considerable depth of 152.4 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well. A third agency, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.4.
