A magnitude 2.3 earthquake near Victoria, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada, was reported 34 minutes ago by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 17 miles beneath the epicenter in the morning on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at 11:52 am local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
