The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
Nothern and central Arkansas

* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 805 PM
until 300 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
A couple tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
to 75 mph possible
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 2 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...A band of storms will continue to develop
east-southeastward from Missouri into northern Arkansas, and
additional development is possible farther to the south. The storm
environment will favor both supercells and bowing segments capable
of producing damaging winds, large hail, and a couple of tornadoes.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles
north and south of a line from 35 miles south of Walnut Ridge AR to
25 miles south of Fayetteville AR. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
