Moderate 4.4 quake hits near Comayagua, Departamento de Comayagua, Honduras

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.4 quake in Honduras near Comayagua, Departamento de Comayagua, only 27 minutes ago. The earthquake hit late at night on Friday, October 20th, 2023, at 10:27 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well.
