On Friday, the Allahabad high court did not grant immediate relief to the Gyanvapi Masjid committee, which had contested the Varanasi court's decision permitting Hindu prayers in the southern cellar of the mosque. The court has scheduled further hearings on the matter for February 6. Justice Rohit Ranjan Agrawal passed the order while hearing an appeal filed by the Anjuman Intizamia Masajid Committee.
