Small 2.7 quake hits near Zagreb, HR.21.3186885, City of Zagreb, Croatia2.7 quake 7 Mar 1:58 am (GMT +1) Just 11 minutes ago, a 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Zagreb, HR.21.3186885, City of Zagreb, Croatia. The tremor was recorded early morning on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at 1:58 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 4 km below the surface. The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Goranec (pop. 300) located 4 km from the epicenter, Zagreb (pop. 699,000) 8 km away, Sesvete (pop. 52,400) 9 km away, Novi Zagreb (pop. 5,000) 11 km away, Stenjevec (pop. 41,300) 14 km away, and Zapresic (pop. 19,700) 17 km away. In Dugo Selo (pop. 10,500, 19 km away), Velika Gorica (pop. 31,600, 19 km away), Brezovica (pop. 10,900, 19 km away), and Samobor (pop. 16,000, 26 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
