Small magnitude 2.8 quake hits 8 km southwest of Innsbruck, Austria in the evening 2.8 quake 31 Oct 8:19 pm (GMT +1) An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 occurred only 4 minutes ago 8 km southwest of Innsbruck, Austria, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported. The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Innsbruck, Stadt Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria, in the evening on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, at 8:19 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
