Just 6 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Hilo, Hawaii County, Hawaii, USA. The tremor was recorded early morning on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at 1:42 am local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 23 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake as well.
