Moderate magnitude 4.8 earthquake 29 km northeast of Oia, Greece

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake near Oia, Cyclades, South Aegean, Greece, was reported only 26 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10. km beneath the epicenter early morning on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at 3:52 am local time.
