Moderate magnitude 4.0 earthquake 7 km southwest of Inzai, Japan

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake near Inzai, Inzai-shi, Chiba, Japan, was reported only 10 minutes ago by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate depth of 70. km beneath the epicenter early afternoon on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 3:47 pm local time.
