Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported a magnitude 4.5 quake in Indonesia near Tahuna, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara, only 6 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, at 1:33 am local time at a moderately shallow depth of 69. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.5 earthquake as well.
