Small magnitude 3.0 earthquake 22 km northwest of Davao City, Philippines Just 34 minutes ago, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Davao City, Davao del Sur, Davao, Philippines. The tremor was recorded early morning on Sunday, May 10th, 2026, at 2:13 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 5. km below the surface. The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it. Our monitoring service identified a second report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.0 as well. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 3.0. Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Tagakpan (pop. 4,000) located 1 km from the epicenter. Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Davao City (pop. 1,848,900) located 22 km from the epicenter. In Samal (pop. 43,500, 32 km away), Panabo (pop. 211,200, 36 km away), Kidapawan (pop. 79,700, 39 km away), Digos (pop. 116,100, 42 km away), Magsaysay (pop. 57,900, 47 km away), Maco (pop. 87,700, 55 km away), and Magugpo Poblacion (pop. 233,300, 56 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
Earthquake data: Date & time: May 10, 2026 02:13 am (GMT +8) local time (9 May 2026 18:13 GMT)Magnitude: 3.0 Depth: 5.00 km Epicenter latitude / longitude: 7.12°N / 125.42°E ( Province of Davao del Sur, Davao, Philippines) Primary data source: EMSChttps://www.volcanodiscovery.com/earthquake/news/301982/Small-magnitude-30-earthquake-22-km-northwest-of-Davao-City-Philippines.html
