Small magnitude 2.5 quake hits 4 km east of Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina early morningJust 12 minutes ago, a 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Mostar, Canton 10, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia & Herzegovina. The tremor was recorded early morning on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, at 4:27 am local time, at a shallow depth of 12.50 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Mostar (pop. 104,500) located 4 km from the epicenter, Rodoc (pop. 5,200) 5 km away, and Cim (pop. 4,000) 6 km away. In Ilici (pop. 3,700, 7 km away), Potoci (pop. 8,300, 8 km away), Blagaj (pop. 4,700, 9 km away), Citluk (pop. 5,700, 17 km away), Siroki Brijeg (pop. 9,400, 22 km away), and Konjic (pop. 16,000, 36 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
