The Supreme Court urged states to decide on raising trial court judges' retirement age. This move aims to align their superannuation age with that of High Court judges. States were asked to make this decision by September 2, dismissing financial constraint arguments. The court stated that retaining experienced judges offers financial benefits to the government.
