Small magnitude 3.4 earthquake strikes near Skegness, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom A very shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported in the early afternoon near Skegness, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom. According to the British Geological Survey (BGS), the quake struck on Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 2:04 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 1. km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones because they are closer to the surface.
