I just got a curtesy call from WMI telling me that they started an FTA broadcast. They will try to send a hit to the decoder boxes tomorrow to program them to pick up the new channels. They also said in a bout 10 days I should receive the information package by post. Their package will cost $40.00/month. Minimum commitment is 6 months (paid in advance). Payment methods are: Credit Card, Direct Debit, Cheque and Money Order.

They will encrypt their braodcast once they finalise the decoder boxes they are organising. They will mary the sim card to the box. They said that customers will need to purchase the decoder box from them. It costs $200.00

They said they'll add the MBC and Arabya in a couple of week stime (not confirmed!) As far as the channel line up is concerned, it'll be what's on this page http://www.worldmedia.com.au/mysat.phtml

Currently, I'm picking up ART Variety, LBC, Aljazeera, Future TV and Nour Sat. They're all currently FTA, and I'm picking them up on my old TARBS box (MDS 3100). All I had to do is realign my dish to PAS8 and punch in the frequency 12646 H and S/R 28066 and then press "Force Remote Update"

Cheers

I rang WMI and they said that those channels will be free 2 air till 1 December, then they will encrypt them.
They will send info out next week to the people who left their details giving them information on how to subscribe, and a contract. If you send the contract before 1 december you will get incentives, but you will have to pay in advance.

hi there,
how hard is to move the dish to wmi.
This one person offered to do it for 75 dollars..but quite frankly its the same guy that lied to me and told me that abu dahbi is on a different direction than UBI (it turned out after I joined this forum that they're on the same direction)
Can someone give me some help on how to turn the dish (I got 2 at the moment, I will keep one pointing to UBI and one to WMI)
thanks.
Another question..will I be able to pick up WMI on any receiver..or does it have to be the old tarbs machine

I think PanGlobal will run the DTH platforms for Horizon.

You will find the ethnic channels on Pas 8 which makes you suspect PanAmSat has intentionally taken TARBS off air. Who knows they may had already had talks with them in the last few months before TARBS went off air..

I have received my contract today from World Media International.
There are 3 payment options 3/6/12 @ $40 PM
The decoder will cost $200 Limited Time, Normally $300
There is a bond fee of $50 Refundable when you cancel the service.
If you pay 12 Months in advance you will receive 2 months free
Telemuire is an optional channel at an extra $10 per month
If you pay by Credit card there is a 5% fee.
The contract will start when they encrypt the service.
Say they encrypt the channels in January thats when the contract will start whether its 3/6/or 12 month payment option.
