Hello,

I am just starting out with Sat-Tv. Just managed to pull in Optus C1 and B3 as clear as a bell. Optus B1 was a no-go.

Has anyone tried getting TVNZ on B1 in East Coast Australia?

Best Regards

JD
80 cm dish with a Foretec -5100 Ultra | |

you wont get none of the New Zealand channels in Australia as all the NZ channels are on the NZ Beam and the signal only goes to NZ and not Australia

but everything else on B1 such as the ABC's and SBS's plus all the feeds and 7 central and Imparja you will be able to get with the setup you have as you have a fortec as i do also best thing to do is do a blind scan and find all the freq's on there

but be careful of the ABC HD channels as they seem to crash the fortec and only way to fix it is to power it down with the switch at the back so just delete them after the scan the SBS HD channels work alrite but arent the best

everything else on there works fine good luck with it and happy blind scanning | |

Yes with B1 you need a bigger size dish, I use a 1.8 prime focus for that, BUT!!!! for the NZ beam forget that I think you need around a 3M dish to get it.
Phil | |
