Re: Aperature (Spiral Gateway)#51477Dec 21st a 01:30 PM
Another spiral experience from September (a month and a half prior to taking these photos)...
From my journal:
Quote
05 Sep 10
I dreamed that I saw a spiral of smoke or cloud with starts mixed in. It was in the early morning sky. I was by the sea on a grassy ledge that was lined with a short wooden fence. The spiral appeared out over the water. I stopped to photograph it though from each angle I stepped, the spiral changed either in colour, shape, size, texture, etc. The spiral where I chose to stop and view was a burnished orange/brown light sky and the spiral looked like smoke.
There were lines made of smoke that intersected the spiral at intervals. And the spiral was splotched with clusters of stars (reminding me later as I woke of the Milky Way Galaxy).
I was all at once aware that a giant sea monster would come from or be dropped from the sky into the ocean.
I think the spiral is somehow symbolic of the galaxy and of a gateway through time and space.
In the dream, I think the changes in the spiral being dependent upon slight changes in perspective means literally that every single person and every perspective of this spiral is individual. The spiral exists, but everyone sees and experiences it utterly uniquely.
The sea monster is a theme that runs through my dreams. I have always had absolute terror in relation to sea monsters (some of my earliest remembered fears). I think for me in this dream it may symbolize the destruction necessary for renewal.
