A magnitude 4.7 earthquake near Bambanglipuro, Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia, was reported only 6 minutes ago by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Indonesia. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 21. km beneath the epicenter early afternoon on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, at 3:51 pm local time.
