hi.. ive just bought a 65cm offset satellite dish.. and LNB, and mounted it..

LOCAL OSCILLATOR FREQUENCY (LOF) OF THE LNB IS 10.7 GHZ

anyway..

a few quick questions i had.

can i take my box to a friends house that already has satellite.. and configure the channels in there.. then bring it home, and *move* the dish around until it shows picture..? or is it more complicated than that..

also if the receiver is configured on one lnb, will it make a difference if when i plug it back in to mine, and its a different 1.

and also, how long can i run the antenna cable.. or is it like normal tv antenna where it doesnt really matter.

and are there any sites i can learn the basics.. i dont want a tutorial to teach me to set up all the equipment, just how the different stuff works.. ive bought all the parts and arent concerned with how long it takes to *set up*, im more interested in learning how it all works at my own pace with trial and error.

thanks.!
