yep u can take the box to ur friends house and tune it up with the freqs and then go home and search for the sat u want by looking at the signal and quality readings on your reciever <br /><br />what kind of reciever are you using the tarbs box aint the best box to use for these kind of things <br /><br />if your friend has the same lnb LO Freq of 10.7 ( 10700 ) you dnt need to change nothing when u get home but if he is using something like a universal lnb 9.75/10.6 ( 9750/10600 ) or a standard lnb of LO Freq 11.3 ( 11300 ) you will have to set it to 10700 for your lnb ur using at home<br /><br />the cable can run very long without much loss of signal i have a 40 metre cable run and the signal is prefect <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> <br /><br />the best place to learn from is forums like this were ppl share there info and you will learn from all that<br /><br />anyway hope that helps <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" />
