I called Selectv a few days ago to enquire about their proposed Italian service (since UBI had previously indicated that they wont be doing one!) Anyway, all that they were able to confirm at this stage was that THEY WILL be broadcasting Tv Chile, together with TVE, and expect to do so by the end of May. These are the only ethnic channels so far confirmed by them.
I reckon that even if they did get TV Globo, (and like someone said before) I would still think that its NO CONTEST compared to the excellent package UBI have put together for the Latino community.

As a matter of interest - and sorry if this is a little off topic for this thread - I was wondereing if Liski is able to indicate if an italian service was still OFF the agenda in UBI's foreseeable future? I was hoping that with the liklihood of UBI accessing another transponder, this may have enabled the option for an italian service - Guess I can only dream ...or maybe I should just brush up on my spanish!!
Thanks
