OHhhhhhh noooooo!!!! not the dreaded UEC's<br /><br />" SELECTV has signed a 3-year commercial agreement with set-top box supplier UEC Technologies and a<br />15-year agreement with conditional access (CA) system supplier Irdeto Access. The cost of set top boxes<br />has declined significantly in recent years and STB wholesale acquisition prices for SELECTV are<br />approximately US$58 – US$65 per STB, including CA smart card technology versus historical prices of<br />US$80 – US$100 (2002 – 2004) and US$100 – US$ 150 (2000 – 2002)."
