sounds like the ballast resister wire is either broken or not connected. these coils start on 12volts and run on 8 volts, so, when you start, 12v from the ignition switch goes to the coil after you let go of the ignition switch 8v through the resister goes to coil<br /> hope that helps<br /> Graham
