Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been rather busy on lots of projects. Firstly keeping a bunch of unix servers up to date, yum updates and general house keeping. Then there was a big Plesk update from 8.1.1 to 8.2 (this drives the www / ftp / mail / dns servers. The network here is getting very complicated now. We have got two diverse WAN pipes to the internet. Both WANs I have got separated, with a dedicated pipe to the www / ftp / mail / dns servers, and a second dedicated pipe to the LAN here for the workstations and servers.

There is a route so the LAN workstations and servers can route directly to the www / ftp / mail / dns servers. Means we have 1GB connection here, that is nice!

Apart from that I have been working with the manufacturer of the webcams. These camera's are fully PTZ (Pan, Tilt and Zoom) meaning I can log in and steer the camera's anywhere.

There are some software bugs we are working on, mainly brightness control, once its done in a few weeks lovely pictures during the day.

I installed another camera at the rear today (outside) as well as went live in the C.A.R. (Central Apparatus Room) - for the non technical literate place where racks are with equipment, UPS (Uninteruptable Power Supplies, etc.

The last camera (has a image is temporarily unavailable) is a remote site, I hope to have this up live by Monday or Tuesday.

At night the 'streaks' you see are headlights on cars and trucks. As its dark the exposure time on the CCD is quite long, so you get a long light and blurred stretched image.

Anyway enjoy. I will probably have a web interface open for moderators during certain hours to have limited access selected camera's.
