I've had my camera since for 3 or 4 years. I love my camera except for it absolute nightmare in low light. My indoor pictures of people are less than good quality. frown I hate this issue of my camera.
But it's a dandy for outside shots as long as it isn't overcast or shady (or if the sun isn't too bright. But I bought a polarizing filter and now my bright sunlight pictures are about 75% success ratio.)

I've only started taking stunning pictures with it this year... sometime in the spring I suddenly learned to use the zoom/macro technique. It was one of the awesome moments of 'duh!' doh After all these years, I was so shocked that I hadn't discovered this technique before... I almost felt stupid that I hadn't learned to use it before now... mmm it's quite interesting. thinking

Here's my technique... I stand back a few feet and adjust the zoom at a half dozen different settings and take pictures with each setting and usually I'll have several decent ones...

My camera is supposed to have a macro mode on it. I've no clue how one sets a macro mode because there's not a button anywhere for it... so I can only concluded that it's a built in mode and it's what makes the main subject of the photo clearer than the background.

I can't always get this technique to work out right no matter how many different zoom distances I try, but when it does... well....

I'm absolutely awestruck at the quality... angel

Here's a cute little ladybug on my tomato vine.

And of course I also like to take fun pix as well...

Thanks Alisa for your wonderful comments...
I love roses too, but my rose-tree or tree-rose is the only one that I've ever had to live and grow. So, it's special to me and that makes your comments all the more appreciated and sweet.
