Shuttle Atlantis moved to VAB on August 22nd. This quarter of a mile trip was delayed by tropical Storm Fay and the related closure of KSC. ![[Linked Image]](http://i37.tinypic.com/2zej7zc.png) Image: Tropical Storm Fay over KSC (Hurricanes may be followed at http://thomas-wehr.homeip.net/weather/hurricane.php) This also reduced the the 11 day buffer to 4 days. Usually a Shuttle needs about one week till it may move to the launch complex. In the VAB it get stacked to the external tank and the boosters.
