I thought it to be authentic, I had a hard time finding any kind of mechanical hints, it seemed to have very fluid movement.Yes I agree too about the hands, he was very natural to a gnome's movement wasn't he?
I know what you mean though, most of the gnome vids I find these days are of boys his age making a joke or parody clip. But to me this one seemed real. I noticed that he had a bit of the sideways shuffle too. What baffles me , is that the gnome seems to have ducked behind the flower pot & dissappeared. You don't even see a trace of his little gnome hat moving behind there!
I thought the reason the camera operator didn't go after it, or get closer was to keep from startling it & scaring it away(although the yelling didn't help!) .
I just had an inspiring thought to post a compilation of all my fav gnome vid links, I'll get on that now. This way we can compare characteristics!
