Thanks a lot for sharing all of this OQ. I enjoyed reading about your experience! I can see you are diligently investigating and working out what this phenomenon is all about. There are many ideas that go by different names, but I think it all points to the same thing and same experiences that many of us have.  My favourite books on the subject (out-of-body) are Robert Monroe's Journey Out of Body, Far Journeys, and Ultimate Journey.
