By definition, what my husband and I saw was a UFO. We really don't know what it was, but my husband got a pretty good look through the binoculars and said it looked like a balloon with a candle in it. So we figure it was something like a Chinese lantern.

I uploaded my video to youtube for reference in case someone reported seeing it in the news. But they haven't so far. I decided to leave it posted on YT anyway.

I'm happy to report that with this experience, I learned a couple of things about filming anomalies.

You know how some folks videos are usually shaky and there's some of us out here that couldn't figure out why?
Well, I tried super hard to keep my camera steady while filming the pulsing ball of light and the video still turned out quite shaky. The digital cameras are just super sensitive to the least movement.

Also, there's some of us out here that wonders why folks who video anomalies rarely zoom in on them... I know the reason now.
Okay, I concentrated so hard on trying to keep the camera steady that I forgot to zoom in on the object! I felt like such a gourdhead when I watched the video. I couldn't believe I forgot to zoom!!!

I've decided to think of this event as a test-run, so I'll be better prepared if there's a next time. If I ever get a chance to video another anomaly, hopefully, I'll remember to ZOOM in on it while also keeping the camera as steady as possible.

It was pretty cool to see & video such a strange sight.

here's a link to my video, if you want to go take a gander at it.
(It looks better if you watch it full screen.)
