Construction is about to begin on a new high tech live-fire range at Fort Knox that, when finished in 2023, will be only the second of its kind anywhere. Called a Digital Air-Ground Integration Range, or DAGIR, the fully computerized range will make it possible for military personnel around the United States, and even abroad, to coordinate and practice accomplishing missions from the ground and air simultaneously.
