Abstract: We assess the impact of satellite sea surface salinity (SSS) observations on dynamical ENSO (El Nino-Southern Oscillation) forecasts. Assimilation of SSS improves the mixed layer depth (MLD) and modulates the Kelvin waves associated with ENSO.
