For the last two years we have been buying all our pharmaceutical needs from E-Pharmacy (now called Chemist Warehouse). Now, for the last year, I have complained to employees and the manager about the frosted fluorescent diffusers in their building. These poorly fitted perspex light diffusers are hanging out and hanging down and are extremely dangerous. If one slips out (which they do), they will come down on a poor customer with a speed of a guillotine. I have spent 20 years doing electrical maintenance on multi-storey buildings in Sydney and after a few accidents, these buildings either rectified the problems of these poorly fitted diffusers or replaced the complete fittings. You have a sheet of perspex approximately 3-4 mm thick, just over 1.2 metres long and around 300 mm wide. When it slips out, it behaves like a wing, sometimes they even snap in the centre as these ceilings are a bit higher than the average ceiling. They do pick up momentum and if someone is standing underneath them, they will be severely injured and god help them if it hits an artery. I cannot understand this mob, I have bought this to their attention plenty of times, nicely, but fortnightly I still go in there and I continually see others if not the same one above the back counter which is waiting to fall out on a customer. I don't know why I bother, I don't know whats wrong with people in this country or maybe I spent too many years being a safety officer and writing reports on incidents and accidents waiting to happen. I personally feel offended that they have not listened to my free helpful advice. I do know this forum is visited by at least 2 lawyers, will you please take note as of this day 17/6/05, if someone ever gets injured or even killed by one of these falling diffusers the Chemist Warehouse at Ca.r.s.eldine ( have to put dots in otherwise the forum see's a swear word a.r.s.e)is to be held accountable.
For god sake, do something about it before its too late or does it take a law suit before you get your finger out of your rear. My last note, a building full of over qualified people with absolutely no common sense.
Phil
A IRATE Customer

[ 17.
