Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.9 just reported 87 km south of San Miguel, El Salvador

Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck near San Miguel, Departamento de San Miguel, El Salvador. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 10:40 am local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 47 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Intipuca (pop. 3,500) located 58 km from the epicenter, Puerto El Triunfo (pop. 19,100) 74 km away, San Rafael Oriente (pop. 19,100) 77 km away, La Union (pop. 26,800) 82 km away, and San Miguel (pop. 161,900) 87 km away.
