An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred only 12 minutes ago 74 km northwest of San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near San Miguel de Tucuman, Departamento de Capital, Tucuman, Argentina, early morning on Monday, January 10th, 2022, at 5:36 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
