An intermediate magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported after midnight near Cintalapa de Figueroa, Cintalapa, Chiapas, Mexico.
According to Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN), the quake hit on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, at 12:59 am local time at an intermediate depth of 122 km. The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms.
