Small tremor of magnitude 3.3 just reported 33 miles north of Enid, Oklahoma, United States 3.3 quake 13 Jun 6:09 am (GMT -5) The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.3 quake in the United States near Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma, only 6 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Monday, June 13th, 2022, at 6:09 am local time at a very shallow depth of 1.2 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.3. Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Medford (pop. 990) located 5 miles from the epicenter. Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Caldwell (pop. 1000) located 15 miles from the epicenter, and Anthony (pop. 2,200) 24 miles away. In Blackwell (pop. 6,900, 28 miles away), Tonkawa (pop. 3,100, 29 miles away), Enid (pop. 51,800, 33 miles away), Wellington (pop. 8,000, 36 miles away), and Ponca City (pop. 24,800, 40 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
