I've never heard about the lit cigarette floating. Interesting. I have to say I thought your response to grab it and put it out was amusing.  It's a great question about spirit apportation (manifesting of objects). For my  I think it is probably a matter of interdimensional movement which can make an object disappear for any length of time (thousands of years, etc.), though would seem only an instant to the spirit moving it (or whatever a moment feels like "outside" of time). I think those spirits that are able can choose "where" to insert "what" inside the construct of time. It only feels like "time" passes to those of us inside "time". Sorry for all the
