SPC Dec 4, 2023 0100 UTC Day 1 Convective OutlookSPC 0100Z Day 1 Outlook Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0647 PM CST Sun Dec 03 2023
Valid 040100Z - 041200Z
...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...
...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not forecast through tonight across the contiguous United States.
...Synopsis... Water-vapor imagery early this evening shows a potent mid-level shortwave trough moving east-northeast across the Lower Great Lakes/central Appalachians. This upper feature will quickly move into the Northeast tonight. Scant instability immediately ahead of the disturbance will lend a low probability for a few thunderstorms through the mid evening across mainly portions of Upstate NY. Elsewhere, quiescent conditions for thunderstorms will prevail in large part due to stable and/or dry conditions.
