Just 8 minutes ago, a 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Unalaska, Aleutians West, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded late at night on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at 10:04 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 9.1 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.1.
