The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.0 quake in the United States near Issaquah, King County, Washington, only 14 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at 5:48 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 6.2 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.2. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.0.
