Moderate magnitude 4.8 earthquake 81 km east of Monkayo, Philippines Just 7 minutes ago, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Monkayo, Davao de Oro, Davao, Philippines. The tremor was recorded around noon on Monday, March 10th, 2025, at 1:52 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Kinablangan (pop. 5,400) located 31 km from the epicenter, Baganga (pop. 10,100) 38 km away, Bislig (pop. 67,600) 68 km away, Manay (pop. 20,300) 74 km away, Compostela (pop. 42,600) 79 km away, Monkayo (pop. 51,400) 81 km away, Nabunturan (pop. 16,700) 94 km away, and San Mariano (pop. 18,700) 95 km away.
